Rescue Fundamentals

Rescue Fundamentals

Prepare for the unexpected.

Injuries happen and that is why every outdoor climber needs to have a solid understanding of how to be self-reliant in the worst case scenarios. This course covers rescue skills that are useful in both rock climbing and glacier travel situations.

The Rescue Fundamentals Course focuses on key skills that can be used in a variety of scenarios, from single pitch rock climbing to crevasse rescue. We strongly recommend taking this course prior to our outdoor Rock Rescue Course and/or Crevasse Rescue Course.

You will learn:

  • Knots + hitches
