In this course you will learn:
- Basic knots and equipment for roped climbing
- Set up and use of a top rope belay system
- Knot and belay system checks
- The process of obtaining a belay certificate
Prerequisites:
- Participants must be 14 years of age or older
- Anyone under 18 years of age must have a waiver filled out by a parent or legal guardian
Participation:
- Registration is required for participation in Climbing School courses. Individuals who are not registered (including family, friends, and children) are not permitted in the instruction space.
- Adaptive/Accessibility: Essential Eligibility Criteria (EEC)
Equipment Required
- Rock climbing shoes
- Harness
- Belay Device
- Rental equipment is included in the course price
- We recommend bringing your personal gear (harness, belay device, rock shoes) if you own them
Late Entry
Arriving late greatly impacts the flow of this course. As such, no entry is permitted more than 5 minutes after the course start time. No refunds are given in these situations. Participants can reschedule into a later course with a 50% change fee from the original booking price.

Intro: Bouldering & Movement:
While this course takes place on our bouldering walls, it provides essential skills for new climbers whether you're a boulderer or a rope climber. Focusing on basic technique such as using your body effectively, climbing specific movement, and energy conservation; you will learn the fundamentals to accelerate your progress as a climber.

Cancellation Policy
● You can reschedule your program up to 72 hours before it starts.
● Less than 72 hours before the start of a program:

No refund or credit will be issued for any reason.

If you ‘no-show’ to a program or any portion of a program, no refund or credit will be issued or pro-rated. Missing the first session of a multi-session program constitutes a ‘no-show’; no entry is allowed into subsequent sessions.
If we cancel:
● Edgeworks reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a program at any time for any reason.
● A full refund or credit will be issued if Edgeworks cancels a program.
