Enrollment Deadline
Registration closes 7 days before the first online session to give students adequate time to complete the required AIARE pre-course learning (~4-8 hours of self-study). If you wish to enroll within this period AND can complete pre-course learning, please contact us to sign-up.
Parking
Some course locations require a parking/entrance fee. This is the responsibility of the student and is not included in the course fee. We encourage carpooling.
SNOWSHOERS
We welcome snowshoers in this program if you sign up for a private course with a group of your friends or partners who ski or splitboard. Otherwise, snowshoers can sign up for one of our Snowshoe AIARE 1 courses.
Outdoor Terms & Conditions

Edgeworks has carefully crafted this policy to ensure fairness to both our clients and our guide staff. Our programs have significant pre-departure expenses, including permit fees, equipment preparation, staff training, and scheduling. Please contact us for clarification about this policy.

Weather Policy
All of our outdoor programs are subject to the weather and environmental conditions that exist on the dates you have chosen. In signing up for a trip, you are agreeing to attempt the program even if conditions are not “ideal.”
-
Before the trip begins -- if conditions are deemed unsafe by the guide, we reserve the right to change the venue, itinerary, or activity. If we decide that conditions are unsuitable for any alternative activities, we will work with you to reschedule or refund.
-
After your trip begins -- if weather or conditions make the original plan not feasible, you are not entitled to a refund.
Trip Cancellation Insurance
Edgeworks strongly encourages the purchase of trip cancellation insurance that covers losses in the event that illness or injury prevents participation in your chosen program. There are many providers of this service; we have had positive experiences with TravelGuard.com.
